  1. I agree to tally with Dr. Ramdas Rao's comment. In Hyderabad I have seen gay men undergoing precfisely the same kind of leching that women undergo regularly. And as for womenj being silenced in the precence of all men, it strikes me as rather an exaggeration- on many crisis occasions, we women in hyderabad have found gay men far more supportive and willing to listen than not just 'straight' men but plenty of women of all kinds of sexual orientation who just preferred not to get involved.
