first time here - I got here thru a link sent by harneet....

the image is so powerful, it is scary - is this how depraved minds see even fully clothed women? I surely believe that the way you dress has nothing to do with such attacks - but they do serve as an excuse for the assailant...

by the way, i had written a post a few days ago with the same title - asking to be raped? check it out.... www.indsight.org/blog

hi ...

Its soo true... I come from a small town..and had never experienced any misbehaviour even in a very crowded bus ..
I came to blore six months back ... and have gone thru very dirty experience 4 times already !!! during all the incidents i was in a salwar kameez
(and no it wasnt very tight aor any thing ) ...

In two of the incidents the guys were so gutsy ..that they dared to tweak my bottom in public .. and before i cud do any thing about they just disappeared in thin air..

In most of the cases the girls are so shocked ..they really dont know what to do..
by the time they gather courage ..the guys wud have disappeared !!!

I heard about Blanknoise efforts on 91.9 fm and was intrigued and happy to know that such an awareness is being built about something which has been an ailing and unattended issue in not just our society but so many others.

I look forward to seeing more happen and pray for the empowerment of our gender... that ofcourse as I believe will come with us taking the first step in believing in who we are and what we have a right to expect.

Cheers

hello all, i came to know about this blog from ndtv today, and as i went through this blog i was really happy to see many people come forward and share their experiences.

1)one thing from which i disagree is that, how can SPITTING be a part of eve teasing?? if someone can explain to me about this,

2)And the problem I am facing is that I am quite uncomfortable when i find girls staring at me. although nothing is wrong with me, and i am a perfect normal male human being with average looks. can any lady out there give reason regarding this or suggest any remedial measures.
please do reply and explain to me, i will be looking forward to your suggestions and solutions.
