There is a catch here in the above shown hoarding. "Misbehaving" has a double meaning. It not only pertains to sexual harassment but also "obscene behaviour" by couples. Thus the hoarding effectively encourages moral policing along with warning against sexual harassment of women.

that's right- just uploaded the close up photo. looks like they have defined eve teasing as misbehaving in a mutual sort of way- like romance and flirting.

Wow I've been like searching for this pic. You're right Jasmeen. They probably mean dont tease or flirt with your gf in public.

The deal is parts of Joggers and Carter Road have these make out zones where couples feel they have some privacy or at least they think they do. Then you have erotically charged teens roaming in groups to get a good look at couples so the sign could also suggest the couple is asking for it.

India by and large will support eve teasing over mutual displays of public affection.

Why?

Because in eve teasing the woman is not "bold" enough to want it.

They don't know what to do with woman who is comfortable giving and receiving affection with her partner.

To them, a woman must always be a victim or she is not a Bharatiya Nari.

Therefore, along with the anti-eve teasing campaign, there needs to be a simultaneous campaign FOR pda (public displays of affection) between real, mutual couples.

Coz right now the aam admi seems to be confused about which one is right and which one is wrong.

Now guys come on "Looking" can't be eve-teasing. Any healthy person would be interested 'looking' at a beautiful woman, and then women do it more often than men. Don't be stuck in the 18th Century.

hi paul. we are not saying LOOKING IS EVE TEASING. but the way in one looks , where one looks and HOW one looks can be questioned, experienced differently.
there ARE ways of looking.

would you agree?
