#JusticeForJisha started in response to the rape and murder of a Dalit law student, Jisha in her home on the 28th of April. There was an inadequate response by the police and the community to the incident. The Hashtag started a movement across the country for police and the government to take crimes against Dalit women seriously. This resulted in an investigation on the case.

The hashtag MyPrimerAcoso accompanied the protests across Mexico on Sunday the 24th of April to fight gender based violence in the country.

On April 24th, citizens, organizations and groups around Mexico participated in the national mobilization against sexist violence using the slogan #VivasNosQueremos. 
Some of the demands that the women's groups announce was an end to judicial favouritism towards men in the criminal process, training on gender violence in public institutions, employment opportunities and safe working conditions to combat sexism in the country. 
One activists said, " It is evident that social re-education, which teaches men not to harass, to not violate, not hit, not threaten, not to violate, not to enslave, not to abuse and not kill women is necessary and girls. We demand the cessation of hate messages, which punish anybody who spread sexist stereotypes that promote gender violence and misogyny,"

#WhenIWas was started by Everyday sexism, a feminist publication based in New York to encourage women to speak out and share their stories of harassment they faced when they were younger. Women across the world started to tweet very personal stories of harassment, violation and abuse.

#NyalaUntukYuyun (Candles for Yuyun)

Yuyun  a 14 year old girl went missing on 2 April on her way back from school in the village of Kasiah Kasubun in Bengkulu province, in western Indonesia. Her body was found two days later by villagers, bruised and beaten and with her hands tied.
Two weeks after the arrests, activist and independent musician Kartika Jahja in Jakarta read about the case online. Kartika Jahja's community, Kolektif Betina, initiated a campaign on Twitter with the hashtag #Nyala untuk Yuyun - Candles for Yuyun. It spread quickly with more than 23,000 retweets.

#canseliçinsusma (Don’t be silent for Cansel) started in response to the suicide of a 17 year old girl Cansel in Turkey. she had been sexually assaulted by her math teacher in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri. It sparked a public outrage with protests across the country.

#Ausnahmslos was a response by feminist in Germany to the attacks in Cologne on New Years eve. It was initiated to stand in solidarity with the victims of these assaults and demand that they care the appropriate care for them.
